Blog #2 My Mentor
1. I have two mentors. My first mentor's name is Yolanda. She is the owner and baker. She works on the business part of most of the day. She answers phones, takes in big orders, calls other business' she's in partnership with, and she bakes while she's not busy. My other mentor is Rosie. She is co-owner and baker. She bakes, tells me what to do, handles email and updates bakery's website.
2. Their typical day is very chaotic. Yolanda comes in around 9:30 she always asks Rosie if she needs help baking. Then she either helps bake or goes to the office and does email. She is always in and out of the bakery she has various jobs and she gets materials that the bakery needs. Rosie comes in around 7 and starts baking the cupcakes for the day. Shes makes the batter for each cupcake and makes plenty for the whole day. She fills the cupcakes puts icing on top and additional toppings. When she is finished with the cupcake around 10:30 she leaves on break gets her laptop and works on website and orders.
3. Yolanda has been very interested in baking and decorating baked goods since she was young. Rosie on the other hand found it interesting because her mom did it. Yolanda went to college and majored in business and Rosie also took a business class in ROP.

Blog #3 My Role
1. My main responsibility is to help decorate cupcakes. I add the additional topping like nuts, strawberries, or chocolate. I also work the front answering questions, running the cash register, and when the other intern isn't present I box the cupcakes. My title is my name but to customers I am an intern.
2. Other tasks I complete is cleaning. I have to make sure there isn't finger prints on display case or the windows. Another task is working with the money I take the money out the bank account and get the change for the register. Lastly I bag the cake pops and tie them.
3. In a typical day I arrive around 8:30 put my things in a locker and ask what needs to be done. I usually start by cleaning the front then adding toppings to cupcakes or dipping things in melted chocolate. After that I run next door get money and change for the register. When I get back Morgan runs to get balloons for the signs, when she brings them back I tie them to the signs and carry them out to the parking lot entrances. When I return I open the door and wait for customers.

Blog #4 Project Proposal
1.For my WLE project I plan on making a large order of cupcakes. The large order will be for my 18th birthday party. I will make various flavors which means I have to make separate batters and toppings.
2.I came up with the idea by noticing how busy and overwhelmed Yolanda and Rosie get with their orders and I figured I could make my own order. By making my own order it would take a lot of pressure off of them.
3. I am excited to do this project because I will be able to make my own delicious cupcakes. I will also be excited to help the owners out a little bit.
4.My plan is to learn how to make the cupcakes and too choose what flavors I'd like to do.

Blog #6 Leadership Skills
1. I am using communicating powerfully because I talk to my mentor, the other intern and customers. While talking to my mentor we have to discuss what I’m doing for the day how to answer certain questions and the deals for the day. When talking to other intern we have to say whose doing what and how we need to work together and who gets to get lunch first. When talking with the customers I have to tell them the answers to their pondering questions and with other customers I have to just converse with them casually. Another LS skill I’m using is collaberate productively because the other persone I work with I dont nescisarily like them but I put that all aside and work well with them.
2. I feel I'm using the two well but I could also improve more on my collaberation because I get frustrated with other people and distant myself.
3. I'm not sure what I'm talking about here?
4. My mentor uses thinking criticaly and communicating powerfully the most because she has to analyze all that’s happening the shop and make everything work there and still balance here other job at the same time. she uses communicating powerfully when working with the public in person or on the phone . She talks to several people such as bill collectors other business' customers and people who could possibly further her business.

Blog #7 What I Learned
1.From working at my WLE I learned I have a lot a tollerance in a professional enviroment. For example I disliked my fellow co-worker but I disscused and worked well with her because it was my job to. Also when customers would get frustrated over the phone or with an order I would handdle the sittuation calmly.
2.A challenge I faced was holding my tongue when I knew I was clearly right in a situation. After talking with my mentor about trying not to argue with a co-worker buy not stating what I knew was right, she told me to go to her with any problem and she'll take care of it.
3.A passion I have now from this experience is not to live life only for you but for those you care about. In the future I hope to help juviniles because now that I'm young I see the strugles they face and I would like to help. Yolie inspired me because she opened her business after her grandparents had died and before they passed she said she'd open a bakery.
4.Honestly in this experience the only time to be creative is when creating cake pops. When doing cake pops you could choose what color sprinkles and flavor cake. Also you chose the color choclate you dipped it into.
5.My WLE placement helped my WLE beggining. I helped them get there feet on the floor, I was there the first months it was open. I stated my oppinion on what was happening and what could change.
6. I believed owning your own business and baking was a very easy job. In reality both jobs are hard it takes alot of time out of your day and life to acommplish theses jobs and do them well.
7.A skill that I learned that was significant in doing this job was knowing your product. You have to know the product so you make it the same day in and day out. Also when customers ask for clairification you should know the answer.
8.If someone asked what I did at my WLE that was important I would tell them handling the cashier and setting up for the day. Both are significantly important to the bussiness. Handling the cashier because it shows how much money we start and end with. Also setting up for the day because if it was important without it the whole day would be chaotic.
9.What I have learned from my WLE will help me later in my carrer and basic life leasons learned will help everyday. It'll help with the patience and knowing what's happening.

Blog #8 Professionalism
1.In order to find my WLE and get hired; I had describe my responsibility and reason for wanting to intern there. Since my mentor had no clue to what I was doing I explained everything as clearly as possible.
2.The most effective way of looking for a job and getting hired is by knowing what you want and having confidence in yourself. If you find something your intrested in you'll be more intriged and willing to go the distance. If you have confidence the manger will see that in you and want to have you.
3.As a result of my WLE, I think being a professional or a responsible adult in the work world means holding up your behave of the work and taking responsibility for whats going on around you. Your actions affect the work place if you do something right or wrong it effects the business.

Blog #9 Life at my WLE
1.Today when I arrived I set my things in a locker, asked Rosie what she would like me to do for the moment before we open. Her answer was to clean the front, I got straight to work cleaning the counter, windows, and mopping the floor. After I was finished I washed dishes that the other intern didn't finish. Rosie asked me to help with the cupcakes so I did my usual core the cupcakes fill them and add additional toppings . After helping with the cupcakes I ran to the ATM to get money for the cash register before we opened. After being open for a while I was left to run the bakery with my fellow intern, I did my part by helping customers and waking the other intern up when she fell asleep. Before I left I cleaned my area and left.
2 .As an intern I improved by caring more responsibility than I deserved. I didn't just have to clean, I got to watch the bakery and take care of the money.
3.My workplace is great. Although the place struggled at the beggining of my internship they soon fell into a place of order. The bakery was organized, they knew what cupcakes were made everyday . Who was working what day was most important to making the bakery a better working place.

Blog #10 The End
1.My final thought about my WLE is it's a job that's mispercieved. I give props to the owner for running the bakery and taking careof her kids. Also feel I grew at my workplace and working with diverse people helps me sontain myself.
2.This experience helped me learn an important skill to have in a work place patience and tollerence. This will help me later in my carrer as a juvienile probation officer, while working with these troubled kids I can't Work without these skills or my job will not be effective.
